The only option they will have to access a benefit is the Universal Pension for the Elderly (PUAM), approved by law during the Macrista government, whose amount is equal to 80% of the already so insufficient Minimum Retirement Credit, ($ 36,890.- of pocket !!) To this is added that to obtain it, women must be 5 years older, that is, 65 years old, and it does not give rise to a pension. Situation that worsens in the next 5 years. According to the UCA, in the Economically Active Population only 40.3% is registered, of the rest 8% is precarious, 23% underemployed and 8.7% unemployed. Unregistered work, with its consequences for the liquidation of labor rights and underfunding of the pension system, is the absolute responsibility of the governments in power that express the class interests they represent, thus ensuring the super profits of the economic groups and the compliance with the requirements of the IMF that considers retirement and pensions as an expense to reduce. The international and national objectives of this organization are to convert retirement into a subsidy for old age together with the privatization of the pension systems, our well-known Menemist AFJP. It is the responsibility of the powers of the State to resolve this situation, and it will only be achieved with the unity and active struggle of trade union organizations, retirees, social defenders, without surrender, of the working class.
